Are any Red Half Marathoners planning on doing the Texas 10 Miler here in Katy on September 29th? If so, how are you training for it? Are you running with the Fulls until then? Running extra miles on your own? Or just following the Half schedule and will deal the 10 miles when it gets here?

I'm with Coach John. Gonna show up early on Saturdays and run the backdoor 3.5 miler. By Sep 29 the Half Marathoners will be up to 6 miles, so add our 3.5 and, IMHO, we'll be trained for the 10. By that same time, the Full Marathoners will be at 12 miles, so they'll already 'be there'.

Is there a set time we could meet for the extra 3.5? Is that about an hour before turtle time?

I'm running with the fulls until October to be ready for a half anyway so I should be fine for the Texas 10 Miler. The full schedule really seems to ramp the mileage up earlier this year than last year!
